Hello i-adults , and welcome to i-safe .This page is to inform you about what has been written here on i-safe , and some top tips on how to keep your child safe if they get cyberbullied or abused on the internet.
I-SAFE
Here in i-safe we encourage children to be safe whilst using the internet. Whilst giving them information we have created a quiz to test their e-safety knowledge . We also have added in some videos for your children to watch real life situations that can happen if you don't stay safe on the internet. The videos have been grouped so that your child knows what videos are suitable for them. The quiz doesn't involve children giving away any personal information , there aren't any answers given as this is a quiz mainly for you and your child to answer together if you wish you may submit your answers , however nothing will happen as it is mainly for you and your child's benefit.
We hope i-safe helps your child stay safe on the internet , Thank You !!!

Top tips on how to approach your child if they are having problems with the internet.
If your child is having problems on the internet , you must understand that it is a hard time for them , they may not want to tell you at first , because they could be afraid that you are going to shout at them. If your child does come to you for advice you must remember to stay calm and not get tense about it , because if you become tense they will too , as they look up to for support . If the problems start getting out of hand ,it may be ideal to contact CEOP or the police . If your child is avoiding you or acting strange , and if you see them always on the internet , then maybe it's time to make the first move , talk to them , don't suddenly lay it on them that you know what is happening as you may have misunderstood . Let them explain if this abnormal behavior carries on then you should talk to them privately once again, this time saying that you know something is going on. When you find out what it is ,remember to stay calm . You are the adult and it is your job to make sure it stops , however don't react to this as a ' no more internet for you ' instead tell them to alert you if it happens again or just tell them in a calm way that they should take a break from the internet whilst you figure it out . Of course the age matters most , you may find that younger children will be the ones to tell you instantly , whereas older children may keep it inside as they want it to seem that they can handle it like adults.
We hope that these tips have helped ,and Thank You for understanding. :-)
